It's about the habit of steady, careful planning versus rushing and hoping it works out. In business terms? This is your monthly close. The diligent business owner closes their books every month — even when it's tedious, even when there's no emergency forcing them to. Not because they love spreadsheets, but because clarity today prevents chaos in December. The hasty owner waits until tax time to "figure out the numbers." And by then, the small mistakes have compounded into big ones. Diligence isn't glamorous. But it's exactly what the verse says it is: the difference between profit and poverty.
