"For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?" — Luke 14:28

I think about this verse every time a client is excited about a big next step — a new hire, new equipment, a second location. That excitement is a good thing! But this verse is a reminder that excitement and planning aren't opposites.

Counting the cost isn't about doubting the vision. It's about making sure the vision actually gets finished instead of stalling out halfway because the numbers weren't checked first.

A real budget or forecast before a big decision is exactly this — sitting down, counting, and moving forward with clear eyes instead of just hope. 😊

Is there a decision on your plate right now that could use a real sit-down-and-count moment?
